Located in the east portion of the historic Colorado Feed & Grain Building in Timnath, Colorado, Timnath Beerwerks proudly opened to the public on Friday, November 9th, 2018.
What a journey this has been. The story of Timnath Beerwerks goes back to, of all things, a trip to the American Girl doll store in Denver, Colorado. Owners Craig Miller and Pete Meyer were braving the store just after Christmas 2015 with their daughters who were eager to spend gift cards. That afternoon, over a craft beer of course, the two began a discussion of a opening a brewery in the smaller town of Timnath, Colorado. In a state rich in craft beer, the town didn’t have a local gathering spot and with Craig’s recent move and experience with home brewing, he had seen the desire for a local taproom. Pete, with his experience in business development and even brewery/distillery construction, was on board. So the search began…
The eastern portion of the historic Colorado Feed & Grain was calling out for renovation and revival. A very long story short, an incredible amount of hard work and perseverance went in to restoring the space while maintaining its original character. All the while, the adjacent train blowing its whistle in approval. (Stay tuned for beer specials related to the horn!)
Our brewer, Cy Bevenger, joined the team as well as owner, Mike Clark. Cy has been such a big part of the local craft beer industry and has won the support of so many over the years! Mike’s dedication to his work and non-profit interests are admirably and have led to many industry friends. So blessed to have found this magical team that we are still adding to!
We are so thrilled to finally be able to share this space with you and welcome your family and friends (even your fur babies) so drop in, check it out and stay awhile. Cheers!
